Bug Description

Binary package hint: totem-gstreamer

i have a darwin streaming server on bsd 7.1 installed.
when i start the mp4 through with rtsp://routie/mov.mp4
totem: audio for a second than some strange noise than no sound at all, video is very good
vlc: video is very poor

all packages are from ubuntu default repos + universe / multiverse
I am using Ubuntu 8.10

this is the output from gst-launch (same result - i stopped the vid after a few seconds):
