Bug Description

Binary package hint: knotes

Version:

Jaunty 4.1.96-ubuntu2:

Description:

When creating a list with "- XYZ<Return>" knotes creates a bulleted list. BUT it's not possible to indent the bullet in the next row with <Tabulator> key. Instead it indents the text:

* XYZ
* ABC

It should be:

* XYZ
        * ABC

Otherwise knotes is unusable it you have to press the indentation icon with the mouse!

Launchpad has removied whitespaces in previous example, so I use underscores instead:

Current behavior (wrong):

* XYZ
* ________ABC

Expected behavior (right):

* XYZ
 ________* ABC

From the behaviour you describe I assume you are using knotes from within kontact as opposed to standalone?

Has knotes ever behaved in the way you wanted it to in previous versions?
If it did then this is a regression. Otherwise this is either a wishlist for a new feature or a usability bug. Either way we will need to forward this upstream to KDE and see if they are willing to fix/add that behaviour but first we need to get the information in order.
