Bug Description

Binary package hint: ubiquity

This is potentially a duplicate of either bug 245855 or bug 106525. I'm filing this one in the hope that apport will upload useful logs.

While doing manual partitioning from the Jaunty alpha 3 livecd, creating a 2048 MB extended partition at /dev/sda6, with a 10,000 MB / on sda1 and a 95,000MB /home on sda5 fails during the first stage of attempting to install; IE: during formatting, with the message
"""
The attempt to mount a file system with type swap in SCSI1 (0,0,0), partition #6 (sda) at none failed.
"""
The behaviour doesn't change if the swap is attempted to be created in a primary partition, such as sda3.

ProblemType: Bug
Architecture: amd64
DistroRelease: Ubuntu 9.04
Package: ubiquity 1.11.3
ProcEnviron:
 LANG=en_US.UTF-8
 SHELL=/bin/bash
SourcePackage: ubiquity
Uname: Linux 2.6.28-4-generic x86_64

Thanks for your report. This is also bug 317709 (definitely this recent bug, not a duplicate of older ones).
