Bug Description
Ever since the recent update to KDE 4.2 RC1 on Kubuntu Jaunty x64, pressing the Shutdown or Restart buttons on the Kickoff menu or the Leave button on the classic menu logs off (and returns to the KDM logon screen) instead of performing the actions that they should. This bug appears to have something to do with ksmserver, which immediately quits with an error stating it could not connect to DBUS when starting.
It happens for me too, but in Kubuntu Intrepid x32. Also with the shutdown widget and if pressed Ctrl+Alt+Del. Looks like the X server is restarted because the KDE session is not saved.
