Bug Description
Ekiga uses the panel for a notification-icon, and when I killed the panel the icon went away. If I run "ps aux|grep ekiga" from the terminal it seems ekiga is still running.
Ekiga should be able to handle it, even if I know I should not kill the panel manually. Gaim can handle it, so should ekiga.
There is no ekiga-window on the Desktop so there is no sane way to handle the situation for the user I think. Ekiga should notice that the panel went away and then re-add it self to the panel like gaim seems to do.
The output:
kent@h55d210:~$ ps aux|grep ekig
kent 5244 0.0 2.6 65056 27276 ? Ssl 12:03 0:03 ekiga --sm-config-prefix /ekiga-xJB4uH/ --sm-client-id 117f00000100011
