Bug Description

These days my friends ask me to install Ubuntu to their computers. The live CD is free but big, I tried to install Ubuntu 8.10 to my 1 GB pendrive. It failed because the installer wanted to unmount the default (/) file system. See the attached pictures!

And a sub-bug: the first time I started this installer, its language was English. After I changed it, it saved the settings. (Even the selected username.)

It should start on the default language, just like running from the Live CD.
