Bug Description
Ubuntu 8.10 and 9.04
If I put frequency applet to fixed frequency all is rock solid, if i put ondemand (frequency variation) it starts random kernel panic (all kernel panic log seemes different and unrelated).
AMD K8 4850e X2 + 790FX chipset

When running 9.04, per the kernel team's bug policy, can you please attach the following information. Please be sure to attach each file as a separate attachment.
* cat /proc/version_ signature > version.log
* dmesg > dmesg.log
* sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
Would you also be able to capture any of the kernel panics you see? Even if you have to take a digital photo and attach it here that would be fine.
