Bug Description

Binary package hint: linux-image

The pciehp module is needed by, at least, the asus eeepc 701 for easy wirelesscar switching. This module cannot be found among the 2.6.28 kernel modules in jaunty beta 2.

I'm closing this bug as it seems this drier is compiled into the kernel.

Is it normal that built in modules cannot be found by modinfo? "modinfo pciehp" returns "modinfo: could not find module pciehp"

But I need to set 2 options of this module to get a full working wifi toggle (pciehp_force=1 and pciehp_poll_mode=1). Is there a way to do this if it is built in?
When it was a loadable module I added these options to /etc/modules, but now it`s not working. I hope you can help me.

Yes. Modules compile into the kernel are always initialized. You can add these options to the kernel command line in /boot/grub/menu1st.

Check the corresponding man page on how to edit this file and don't forget to make a backup. The exact options to add are:
 pciehp.pciehp_force=1 pciehp.pciehp_poll_mode=1
