ndiswrapper not functioning

Bug Description

Downloaded and Installed: ndiswrapper-common; ndiswrpper-utils-1.9; ndisgtk. Software does not install drivers. 6 *.inf files found with driver files via File Browser. "Wireless Network Drivers", "Currently Installed Windows Drivers" remains empty after several hours waiting. 3 of the *.inf tried over the last two days.
Optus Wireless Modem: Huawei Technologies E620 USB Modem - contains memorized programme. Runs on WindowsXP.
Computer: Compaq Laptop Evo N1000c; 28 Gig HD; 2 drives; Ubuntu 8.10 on second.

It would be nice if you attached the *.inf files for further inspection.
