*** KMail got signal 11 (Crashing)
KCrash: Application 'kmail' crashing...

Kmail window is shown, but when it (automatically as configured) goes to an Imap INBOX startfolder, crashes. Most probably related to:

http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=908525

which was commited to 4.2 branch after 4.2rc tarballs where made. Verified that this patch isn't in Kubuntu pagages.

I'm experiencing the same problem after the latest set of updates from intrepid-proposed. I'm running kmail version 4.1.4-0ubuntu1~intrepid1. The error message is similar to what the OP observed:
kmail(7804) KMSystemTray::updateNewMessages: Removing folder from internal store "INBOX"
kmail(7804) KMFolderImap::slotListFolderResult: KIO::ListJob(0x212a090) 0

Hmm, I did some more experimenting and it turns out I was having this problem only when viewing the inbox on a specific IMAP server -- other IMAP accounts worked fine. Even on the problematic server, I could view other folders without problems -- just the inbox caused the crash. For now I have disabled that account.

The patch should be in now that we have KDE 4.2 final.
