I wanted to download and install the graphic card driver (nvidia 7300), but after the download it just showed the error report (Die Desktop-Effekte konnten nicht aktiviert werden)

The package probably got corrupted while you were downloading it.
To fix this you can run the command:
rm /var/cache/apt/archives/nvidia-glx-173_173.14.12-1-0ubuntu4_i386.deb
then update again.
