Bug Description

Binary package hint: systemsettings-kde4

If I open the windows shares authentification configuration in "systemsettings" with the kcm module "lanbrowser", I've got two fields for the username and the password.
But, if I type "Enter" after the password, it clears the two fields, instead of commiting changes.

What version of KDE/Kubuntu are you running? This works fine for me with KDE 4.1.96. (4.2 RC1)

I'm using a Kubuntu 8.10 up to date :
Qt: 4.4.3
KDE: 4.1.3 (KDE 4.1.3)

In fact, when typing "Enter", it doesn't clear, but cancel modifications and reset fields. (So it clears them if they was empty at startup)

An other precision, the bug doesn't occur if you run directly the module with "kcmshell4 lanbrowser" command, but occurs by opening systemsettings and then the module.

After playing with the dialog, I can't now reproduce the bug on my machine, but I can reproduce on an other machine.
