Bug Description

After I installed ndiswrapper checkgmail always asks for the password at start-up, even if the password is saved. This bug occurs in Ubuntu 8.10 32/64 bit. The funny thing is that when you do a Ctrl-Alt-Esc, the password remains saved. As soon as you uninstall ndiswrapper the password is saved even after a full boot-up. I tried to delete the checkgmail preferences file to see if the new created one would fix the problem, but no luck.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. If you could test the current Ubuntu development version (10.04), this would help us a lot. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect 316899, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
