Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately we can't fix it, because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.
We have instructions on debugging some types of problems. http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

Alright, so what happens is:

(using Xubuntu 8.04, Brasero 0.7.1)

1. Run brasero from the applications menu
2. Click Audio Project (Create a traditional audio CD)
(3. say no to making Brasero the default app for burning CDs)
4. Click in the Location text box
5. Type in the box: ( "/home/testadmin")
6. The display box below on the right does not change to the "/home/testadmin" directory

The user can just navigate using the places on the left, so it's not that big a deal.

Noticed the same bug, Ubuntu 8.10 Brasero 0.8.2.

Hitting enter should either auto-add the file in the Location entry field to the project, or change the path in the tree view. Right now, nothing happens. Bad GUI design, please fix.

If this behaviour with no reaction is desired, then please at least gtk_editable_set_editable() to false.

Then the user is not mislead to enter text into the non-working Location field.

Thanks for the report David Friedman , It has been a long time without any comment or a duplicate in this bug report and It is possible that the bug has been fixed. May you please try to reproduce it with the latest Stable Release of Ubuntu the Natty Narwhal and add the respective comments to the report? You can learn how to get that release at http://www.ubuntu.com/download . Thanks again and we appreciate your help.

Maybe it would be alright to just let that go as it is listed as being of
"low" importance.

I tried to be precise in my description of the problem,
and Mr. Jan Wagner was able to understand what
I was saying.

I'd prefer to just keep both of my laptops as single boot systems.

Under launchpad it looks like it sixty days it'll just expire
automatically.
