Bug Description

Yesterday computer was working fine on wireless connection was able to connect up to 5 different locations. Computer froze so I restarted it and all of a sudden the option for wireless connection is no longer available. I contacted Dell and they said top contact Ubuntu help desk with no help available there. If anyone knows of a way to be able to access the wireless conecction again that would be great. I tried pressing FN + "A" type signal but nothing happens

I have had hard freezes before on the mini, but the wireless was never compromised (upon restart). Similarly, I had wireless not available after some resumes. In any case, I was not able to track down the causes.

Question: Have you tried rebooting a few times? Have tried restarting wireless from the command line?

/etc/init.d/networking restart

I have tried restarting the system and as for the command you gave it says access denied. And dell is unable to help with this.

Sorry, the command needs to be run with root privileges:

sudo /etc/init.d/networking restart
