Impossible to access items on the Management Menu in IE7

It's impossible to access items on the Managment menu under IE7. As you mouseover the word Management, the menu drops down, but disapears as the mouse moves off it to select something from the menu.

Problem does not exist under Firefox 3.

Actually it is possible with the following workaround:

* Click Management
* Select all the text on the page below the menu.
* Mouseover Management
* Move the mouse really really really quickly on to the menu.
* Access to Management menu is achieved. :D

I already lost an hour on this... I couldn't work out what the problem was.

Shall we remove the rc1 blocker tag and get a CSS guru to look at it?

Could you test the attached patch for me? I've not got any easy way of doing it.

I've no idea what I'm doing with this, but I looked back through to the original versions pre-refactoring and I wonder if the JS that tweeks the IE version of the page is either not working, or not being called.

That patch is wrong. The sfhover class needs to go on the <li> element not the link!

Worked it out. The menu structure code was wrong with the <a> being before the <ul>

This bug still exists in both 1.0.4 and 1.1.0 (haven't tested 1.0.5 but I assume it'll still be there). I'm using IE8 on windows 7. Exactly as described above where you can't access the management dropdown without moving the mouse very quickly downwards. The problem isn't there when I turn on compatibility mode (so that could be a workaround) but in the default mode it is...

Have only recently got into xibo so might have been an undetected regression...

I just tried on a 1.0.5 with IE8 on XP and I get the same behaviour. Fine in Firefox and Chrome.

It may actually be a different problem specific to IE8 as looking at the code that generates the menu I don't see any change since 1.0.0-rc1!
