GNUsound logout the user

Binary package hint: gnusound

1) I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 Intrepid Ibex.

2) Installed: 0.7.4-8build1
  Candidate: 0.7.4-8build1
  Version table:
 *** 0.7.4-8build1 0
        500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com intrepid/universe Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

3) I started the program, and expected it to start properly and I could try it out.

4) What happened was that the program didn't start, and instead it logged me out, I tried 3 times, and 3 times I got the same result.

However, I tried to install the same package on my Eee PC, which is Ubuntu 8.04.1, and then the program worked fine, so it is just for Ubuntu 8.10 it doesn't work.

(This is my first bug report. Sorry if I missed a lot of information you need.)

I can confirm that there is a significant error with gnusound, although it did not log me out. After freshly installing gnusound, the program crashed. Attached is my terminal output.
