Bug Description

I'm not quite sure when the behaviour changed, but having just commented on some bugs since the "+addcomment" option was on a lone page, I've found this not to be as usable as the old design where the add comments box formed a part of the bug page.

Specifically, I needed to open another brower window, and paste the right URL to go back and refer to the other comments which I was addressing whilst adding more information to the bug.

I realise this is adding more than one issue to the same bug, however I did find myself somewhat lost looking for the "Add comment or attachment" option, and think the old, old way of having it inline on the bug page is much much more usable, even than having it as a "drop down" inline with the bug page.

Did I imagine this... it's back to a drop down inline now.

I was convinced I commented on a bug, and the "Add a comment/attachment" button gave me a page with no other contents but the window to add my comment. Sorry fotr the bug spam if that was not the case.

Well, considering it shows the comments on the same page you're inserting a new comment, I'm marking this bug as Invalid.

Thanks!

A glitch may have caused Launchpad's JavaScript not to load properly while the rest of the bug page did; or you may have had JavaScript turned off, or the Firefox NoScript plug-in active. If JavaScript is not available, Launchpad falls back to showing the comment form on a separate page.

Thanks for the explanation Mathew. I was on a very poor internet connection at the time, and was struggling to get anything to load - so your explanation sounds plausible. I'm glad I'm not going crazy!! ;)
