Bug Description

Using Ubuntu 8.10

On the Dell XPS m1530 there is a button on the keyboard that looks like a battery on the F3 button.

This button can be pressed when using the keycombo: Fn-F3.

What happens is that the key-combination shows a notification bubble in the systray informing about the battery state.

When this happens, the keyboard freezes, meaning it doesn't respond when typing.
Also it seems like the mouse actions like left-click doesn't do anything.

The only way to restore from this is to restart the xserver by pressing: CRTL-ALT-BACKSPACE.

Works for me on jaunty. I don't remember any problems with this when I was running intrepid. Can anyone provide more information on this bug in 8.10?
