Problem with language of wine

hello there are a lot of problems with installed wine 1.0.1 on ubuntu 8.04 8.10 9.04, there are problems with the relative packages to the language and to it codifies of the languages. As an example the programs are looked at with incomprensibili languages (written in Arabic Chinese Japanese etc…)… this problem found the many times with several versions of ubuntu and programs of various species hello hello

If you are using a non-english windows software, and see wierd characters (usually ????) instead of the characters of that language, you will need to change the LANG environment variable before running this software, for example to get arabic characters displayed I would do:

LANG=ar_EG.UTF-8 <arabic_program.exe>
