Bug Description
On my Dell Inspiron 6000, when I select Fn and up down to set the screen brightness (I've only tested this on battery power), the icon for the screen brightness stays on my screen and the menus are locked - the only way to get out of it is to reboot the machine by holding the power key.
I'm running 8.10 with the latest version and kernels

--> try using the key combination Ctrl+Alt+F1-6 to get out of this freeze state
