Bug Description

Binary package hint: nspluginwrapper

Hello! I have an up-to-date Jaunty running on amd64.

I had flashplugin-nonfree 10.0.15.3ubuntu2 installed, which due to dependencies auto-installed nspluginwrapper 1.2.2-0ubuntu1.

Today I did an "aptitude purge flashplugin-nonfree", which removed only the Flash plugin. Then I did an "aptitude safe-upgrade", which removed nspluginwrapper (but did not purge it). Since I was trying to install manually the Flash plugin, I took a peek in Mozilla's plugin directories, and guess what?

$ ls -l `locate npwrapper`
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 57 2009-01-05 01:58 /usr/lib/firefox/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so -> /var/lib/flashplugin-nonfree//npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 57 2009-01-05 01:58 /usr/lib/iceweasel/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so -> /var/lib/flashplugin-nonfree//npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 57 2009-01-05 01:58 /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins/npwrapper.libflashplayer.so -> /var/lib/flashplugin-nonfree//npwrapper.libflashplayer.so
$ ls /var/lib/flashplugin-nonfree
ls: cannot access /var/lib/flashplugin-nonfree: No such file or directory
