Bug Description

Binary package hint: klinkstatus-kde4

With the Kubuntu upgrade from kde 3.x to 4.x, KLinkStatus should have also be upgraded to the 0.6.0 (4.1) version.
However, i had to manually install the latest version from Adept.

I'm using Kubuntu 8.10.

That's because we offer both kdewebdev and kdewebdev-kde4 since there isn't a stable version of quanta for kde4 yet.

That's an internal detail. The package is klinkstatus, not kdewebdev. In fact, klinkstatus doesn't depend on Quanta.

The klinkstatus4 version is much better but I bet everyone is using klinkstatus3 because there is no automatic upgrade.
IMHO, users would be better served if klinkstatus was to be automatically upgraded to version 4 (0.6.0); isn't possible to have kdewebdev3 along with klinkstatus4?

BTW, Quanta will not be part of KDE 4.2 and probably never will for years to come. What should the other developers of kdewebdev do? Stop developing their applications because as long as Quanta is not ported to KDE >= 4, their could be no upgrade?
