Bug Description

Slovak official repository (sk.archive.ubuntu.com) is broken, there are invalid packages and I cannot download some packages - it reports non-matching file sizes. Everything works as expected, when I switch to main server or to different mirror (I tried ftp.ynet.sk, which is much faster comparing to main server).

This bug was reported by different users with different Ubuntus. I can confirm it on jaunty.

Hello Peter!

Could you please attach some examples of missing files from that mirror? Could you please confirm that this issue is still present?

Thank you for your reporting!

Hello Michele!

I have just upgraded from Slovak official repository and no such problem appears now. The only difference is in speed, ynet is faster a bit, but it is not so noticeable as it was (it was 20kB/s and 300kB/s).

One month ago, there were also problems with outdated packages, but it seems to be fixed for now.

Thank you for your interest!

Thanks for this report!

The best way to deal with those kinds of problem is reporting them to the admin of the mirror. So, I'd suggest to drop an email to Matus Zilla, who should be the admin of sk.archive.ubuntu.com (as you can see here: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+mirror/ftp.antik.sk-release ).

I'm going to mark this report as invalid since this problem is not reproducible any more. Thank you for taking the time to report this issue and helping to make ubuntu better.
