Bug Description

I have an Edimax EW-7128G wireless network card. After using sleep mode, the card stops working until I reboot.

Ubuntu Version is 8.10

left-clicking on gnome-network-manager icon shows the wireless network as present with a level bar
click on the network bar and no connection is made, get message box:
 "The network has been disconnected"
iwconfig reports that the access point is not associated
ifconfig wlan0 reports "no such device"

Bug 274780 is the same problem, albeit originally with an earlier release, and work-arounds are listed there that might be applicable.
