Bug Description
Binary package hint: nautilus
This is very annoying bug with the tree view in the side pane.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open up nautilus, and in the side pane, select "Tree". In the following instructions, "on the left" means the tree, and "on the right" means the icon view on the right.
2. Click on "File System" on the left, and on the right, double-click on var, cache, apt, then archives (this is just an example).
3. On the left, collapse (click the triangle next to) var.
4. On the left, click on "File System" again.
5. On the right, double-click on var, cache, apt, then archives. You will notice that the tree on the left doesn't expand as you go into directories anymore, unlike the first time.
6. On the left, expand var.
7. Great! Now try to click on directories on the left. They don't respond!
Sometimes at the end, I would have one directory on the left permanently selected, and if I click on other directories, there would be two directories selected at once!

Confirmed: this also happens to me on a new Ubuntu Intrepid installation.
