Bug Description

Binary package hint: network-manager

Running Intrepid. Network manager rapidly consumes all memory (taking about 20 mins to eat up 1Gb), then shows connection as unavailable though network is still accessible. 1 of my 2 processors is at 100% while this is occurring, then once connection becomes "unavailable" drops to near 0%.

I identified a Texas Instruments ACX 100 wireless LAN card (which I'd forgotten all about!) and blacklisted it using the steps outlined by Mykro on bug report #291074. This appears to work around the problem.
