Bug Description

Using the gl2 output, gmplayer sometimes (not always, but annoyingly often) causes an X lockup when its window is restored (de-minimized, or clicked to the foreground from behind another window). The whole screen will freeze, with only a black rectangle showing where the MPlayer window is supposed to be. At first I thought the whole system was hung, but I've discovered that there are Alt+SysRq+.. combinations that still work even when regular Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't anymore.
So, today I was checking some log files after rebooting from such a crash, and hey, what do you know, there is some kind of error/trace in /var/log/messages (attached).

Uhm, the apport/ubuntu-bug utility only shows me a non-existing Launchpad page. Is there a quick way to get a list of the relevant packages and their versions?

Thank you for reporting this bug about fglrx, however the video card mentioned in this bug report is no longer supported in fglrx. ATI only supports R600 and newer chips. You'll want to focus on using the -ati driver instead for this hardware.
