Thanks for your bug report. Please try to obtain a backtrace http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProgramCrash and attach the file to the bug report. This will greatly help us in tracking down your problem.

I have no idea how to confirm a report so if I did it was unintentional.
The debugging symbols have been stripped from the application according the top of the backtrace - will that be of any help?

Please follow the instructions given at the mentioned wiki-page and try to obtain a new backtrace. That way, the debug-symbols will be included in the backtrace. FYI, the needed packages are brasero-dbgsym, libtotem-plparser12-dbgsym, libglib2.0-0-dbgsym and libgtk2.0-0-dbgsym. Thanks again for your effort.

I think I can re-produce this. Brasero crashes every time I try to select a CD image for burning. Tested with an audio CD image just created with Brasero. Debug-Info is attached.

This does not only happen when I select the image manually via the burn image option but also whenever I try to make a copy directly.

Please ignore my previous comment, that's a different issue.

I am having this problem also. k3b works fine though!

Perhaps read k3b code and compare?

Hi,

On Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic I can't burn any DVD ISO image with Brasero.
K3b works fine and can burn the ISO DVD Image.

This happens with 3 different kind of dvd roms tested.

I'd like to see this bug somehow touched by a dev because it's not only time consuming but also goes into money for that much destroyed DVDs i've already lost with ubuntu ;-)

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. A new version of brasero is available in both Lucid and Maverick and we are wondering if this is still reproducible in any of those versions, May you please test and give us of feedback about it? Thanks in advance.
