Bug Description

I have a Transceiver 3.0 for Bluetooth that comes w/ the Microsoft entertainment keyboards. The device is not recognized when I plug it into my ubuntu install. I can see it fine in lsusb:

(only relevant parts posted):

Bus 001 Device 004: ID 045e:0714 Microsoft Corp.
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 045e:0717 Microsoft Corp.
Bus 001 Device 002: ID 045e:0707 Microsoft Corp.

When I run hciconfig, nothing is output.

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10

I expect that either a notification window pop up, or for hciconfig to run.

The device is properly found in other versions of linux (tested on OpenSuse 11)

Bus 005 Device 007: ID 045e:0707 Microsoft Corp.
