Bug Description

I have a Logitech Comfort Cordless Desktop (keyboard with encrypted transmission SecureConnect and with an optical laser mouse).
I tried kubuntu 8.10 and ubuntu 8.10. Both hung several times in the installation process. After all (many trials) I got a working system installed, the mouse sometimes froze and the keyboard was not recognized or when it was recognized, it wasn't any more afterwards in Windows (XP, which I have on another hard disk as a dual boot option) and I had first to re-initialize the SecureConnect again (while booting into Windows with a second keyboard).

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem.

We have instructions for debugging some this problems at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingKeyboardDetection and https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingMouseDetection

At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!
