shutdown always fails, must turn off ps3 by holding l/O buttom for more than 10 secs

after i shut my ps3 down, all these error messages come up that say "...shutdown failed"

i got the package from 'https://help.ubuntu.com/community/PlayStation_3' and i'm using ubuntu 7.10

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. If you have not already you might try the psubuntu forum. A search for "shutdown" resulted in a lot of posts. You might be able to refine the search with some specifics about your problem. If you don't see your specific problem you might try starting a thread.

You reported this bug a while ago and there hasn't been any activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue for you. Can you try with the latest Ubuntu release available for PS3? Thanks in advance.
