Bug Description

Hi
I've had a problem and I am not sure if this is a bug or not so for the moment it's a question. My computer freezes up at times (no reaction to anything I do, usually only the mouse will react but you can't click anything). This time I've "caught it" pretty well that is isolated it in the log, these are the last lines before mayday:

ACPI Error (psargs-0358): [\_TZ_.THRM] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND
ACPI Error (psparse-0530): Method parse/execution failed [\_GPE._L1C] (Node f7016450), AE_NOT_FOUND
ACPI Exception (evgpe-0573): AE_NOT_FOUND, while evaluating GPE method [_L1C] [20080609]

so ... what do I do? My current idea is to re-install some hardy kernel but then again it doesn't seem smart to install one package from hardy "isolated" from the rest so ... ideas?

Thank you so much in advance!

ANDREA

PS: This was originally formulated as a question:
 https://answers.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/acpi-support/+question/54121
but there were no answers and i'm starting to think this is more of a bug than a simple question...hence the bug report.
