snmp config but it still get in the same state.

Can you be more specific on this? Do you have snmpd running on all 35 servers, and it hangs on all of them ? When it hangs, do you have to kill the process? Does it use up CPU?

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. Unfortunately, we can't fix it because your description didn't include enough information. You may find it helpful to read "How to report bugs effectively" http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/bugs.html. We'd be grateful if you would then provide a more complete description of the problem. We have instructions on debugging some types of problems at http://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingProcedures.
At a minimum, we need:
1. the specific steps or actions you took that caused you to encounter the problem,
2. the behavior you expected, and
3. the behavior you actually encountered (in as much detail as possible).
Thanks!

When reporting bugs in the future please use apport, either via the appropriate application's "Help -> Report a Problem" menu or using 'ubuntu-bug' and the name of the package affected. You can learn more about this functionality at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/ReportingBugs.

I have the same problem. I will attempt to provide you the information to get this resolved.

Host info
2.6.24-24-server #1 SMP
snmpd -v

NET-SNMP version: 5.4.1
Web: http://www.net-snmp.org/
Email: <email address hidden>

The host is a VM running on ESX3.5

I am running snmpwalk from another host. The host gets through part of the "walk" and then dies. after that point SNMP is not responsive on the system.
snmpwalk -v2c -c COMMUNITY HOST .1.3.6.1.2.1.2.2.1.1 works repeatedly but as soon as the SNMP walk is done against "HOST" the interfaces mib will not respond.

appear to be the last lines every time I run the snmpwalk. I tried about 10 times to verify on my one system. Let me know what other information I can provide to speed resolution of this bug.
