advanced search is confusing

If these should be broken into 4 separate reports, let me know and I'll repost.

jaunty box, plugging in a usb drive doesn't get a /dev node; trying to see if that has been reported.

so I hit:
https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bugs?advanced=1

type "usb" in the box.

I look at "Status and importance" - I want all of them.
1 .There is no "All" option.
2. I am not sure if leaving them all unchecked will give me all, or if I need to check off each one. So I check all of them.

3 "Series-specific" - I see lots of jaunty options. I am not sure which I need to check. so I check all the ones that contain 'jaunty' even though I am sure I don't need some of them.

4. "Other" - I believe "any/all" applies to "Tags", but those 2 are mixed in with the other options, so it isn't obvious at all. at first I thought any/all applied to the two "[ ] Show only bugs...".
