There is an error during compilation:

It is a source error.

Odd, the file ScreenOptionsMasterPrefs.cpp did not change since the old release.

The template that triggers the error is not allowed in C++.
There has been a fix in the g++ for intrepid. That's why it does not
compile.

The reference is not found although -lavcodec is in the linker options.

Please also package for x86_64, not just i386!

The current SFnet source package (4.0 20080103) compiles on x86_64 with the following changes:

The current svn snapshot compiles without any changes to the sources, but I haven't yet had luck getting it to run properly (halts at Error: Expected LightsMode; got "LightsMode_Menu" when running)

The missing headers have already been included.

Sorry for flooding so soon again, but i have an update: I just managed to compile a fully working x86_64 build on Kubuntu 8.10 from the newest svn snapshot without tweaking. :-) i just had to install the required library dependencies and do:

./autogen.sh
./configure
./make
./make dist

Ok, we will wait until the next release that is expected in january.
