Bug Description

Binary package hint: empathy

I tried to install Empathy (for voice chat) in Ubuntu Hardy from PPA. But It seems to be some dependecy conflicts between the packages empathy and telepathy-stream-engine. If empathy is installed telepathy-stream-engine must be removed and vice versa. I need to use telepathy-stream-engine as I need to voice chat in yahoo and gmail accounts. How do I install it ?

Is this problem with the telepathy PPA ? Do you have other PPAs listed in your sources.list ?

This is the only PPA added in my sources.list.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and help to improve Ubuntu.

I'm marking this bug report as 'invalid' for empathy in Ubuntu, because the conflict appears to originate with the empathy package in the telepathy PPA, which is outside of Ubuntu's control.

Changed in empathy:
status: New → Invalid
Changed in apt:
status: New → Invalid
