Haddock is outdated and needs to be upgraded

Haddock, the documentation generation tool for Haskell, is severely outdated. Intrepid ships 0.8, which dates back to 2006, and does not support many of the syntactical advances present in GHC.

We cannot do a straight sync because of a build-dep on ghc >= 6.10.1. I will speak to the Debian maintainer to see if anything would break if we relax this.

This would require a freeze exception (see https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FreezeExceptionProcess), but I don't think we want ghc >= 6.10.1 for now, so I'd wait Karmic for haddock to be autosynced.

Eventually, you could follow gch6 upgrade in bug #302149. If that would be synced/merged (very unlikely), we could eventually take this into account for Jaunty too.
