My normal resolution is 1680x1050 widescreen, but I have an app that doesn't play well with widescreen, so I attempted to set my resolution down to 1600x1024. I expected this to work, or at least to be able to back out of it if it didn't work.
What happened instead is that my screen display showed the left 1/4 of my screen on the left-hand side, and the left 3/4 of my screen on the right-hand side, but the actual location of everything (according to my mouse) was unchanged. This means that when I tried to click on the button to abort the change in resolution, I was not actually clicking on anything, and the change went into effect. I think it is hard to explain, so I am attaching two screen shots.
Is this still a problem with KDE 4.2.1?
