Bug Description

Reproduced on two different machines x86 and 64bit with MULTIPLE Network Cards.

After uneventful upgrade from Hardy to Ibex, a "route -n" at the command line
reveals multiple default gateways

0.0.0.0 ----> eth0
0.0.0.0 ----> eth1
0.0.0.0 ----> eth2

for each ethernet card.

I doubt the average user will be able to identify this...
as well as know to.....

route del default gw [Offending IP]

also I noticed multiple gateways assigned in the /etc/network/interfaces
for each NIC (Network Interface Card) which I #pounded out.

Thanks
I hope this helps. It is a solid bug.

Moving this report to updade-manager since it seems that the problem has appeared after upgrading to Intrepid Ibex.

Thanks for your bugreport.

Please attach the log from /var/log/dist-upgrade/apt-term.log and main.log

This is not a update-manager bug, it does not do any modifications to the network routes. I suspect its network-manager releated, but the logs are required to really diagnose it.
