Binary package hint: synaptic
After installation of gnome-commander 1.2.7 in Intrepid I was unable to open my home-directory and sub-folders from the main menu. Synaptic starts instead of Nautilus file manager without root privileges after closing a warning message. See attached screenshot.

After searching in various directories I found in ".local/ share/applicati ons/" a file named "mimeapps.list" with a suspicious line: inode/directory =userapp- synaptic- WIL2KU. desktop; nautilus- folder- handler. desktop; userapp- gedit-LD26KU. desktop; brasero- open-project. desktop; synaptic- WIL2KU. desktop; " my system works normal now. Still I do'nt know, how this list was corrupted.
After removing "userapp-
