Bug Description

Im sorry. I have to write in spanish. So:
He bajado la imagen de CD ubuntu-8.10-desktop-i386.iso 4 veces. No funciona. No permite instalar. Comienza el proceso, elige lenguaje. luego de unos minutos. la pantalla se pone negra, la luz parepadea, el har disk trabaja, lee el cd room, pero se queda alli.
Lo he intentado tambien con Kubunto. Mismo problema.
Solamente he podido instalar Ubuntu 8.10 - 64. Va muy bien.

Tambien he probado acrualizando ubuntu 8.04 a ubuntu 8.10. No funciona.

Muchas gracias.

(Rough) Translation:
"I downloaded the ubuntu-8.10-desktop-i386.iso CD image 4 times. It doesn't work. It won't allow me to install. The process begins, and I choose my language. After one minute the screen is black, the light does something (I can't translate this word), the hard drive spins and the CD-ROM is read indefinitely.

I have the same problem with the Kubuntu CD"

Hello!

Thank you for reporting this issue and helping to make Ubuntu better! We need more information in order to start investigating your problem, for instance, which hardware are you using?

While we appreciate the difficulties you are facing, it would appear that the CD image (ISO file) you downloaded could be corrupt. There is an easy way to verify the integrity of the Ubuntu ISO files you download. Could you please visit https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HowToMD5SUM follow the instructions and report back as to whether or not the MD5SUM verified? Thanks in advance.
