pressed "burn"
burn dialogue box appears, but "burn" button greyed out
end of play - back to Windows and Nero for now.

I have also checked with a different MPG file with the same result. So I assume it's not a VOB related issue.
Additionally, I tried writing both file types to 'image file' rather than my DVD burner. I still got the the 'burn' button greyed out on the burn panel.

I wonder if the problem is related to the codecs I have installed - I have all the usual ones needed to play DVDs, RM files, etc etc,

Steve

So, is there a bug or a mis-configuration here, or an RTFM issue?

could you try if that's still an issue in jaunty?

I'm on Jaunty, and I'm getting the same result. dvd-slideshow creates a VOB file. If I open Brasero, click new video project, and drag that VOB in, I get the same results as above. "Burn" is greyed out.
