Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubiquity
I boot with LiveCD of Ubuntu 8.10. My hard disk was all used with two NTFS partitions, so I use GParted to delete the second partition, and I've created an ext3 partition to put ubuntu there. But when I ran ubiquity to install Ubuntu on my box, the device/partition list was empty.
I tried to run ubiquity from terminal to check if there's any kind of log, or error message dropped to stdout, but no.
I'm attaching an screen shoot.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. It would help us a lot if you could test a current, supported, Ubuntu version. If you can test it, and it is still an issue, we would appreciate if you could upload updated logs by running apport-collect 307450, and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
