Bug Description

XBMC has now been accepted into Debian NEW after working with upstream to make changes to allow it in Debian. The package builds cleanly on precise as of (2:11.0~git20120403.ec33f1f+repack1-4).

Rather than having to continue to direct users at a potentially unsafe PPA, it would be better to have it directly in universe.

XBMC, recursive acronym for “XBMC Media Center“, is an award winning free and open source software media-player and entertainment hub for all your digital media.

Looks like someone started working on it for Debian, but it has stalled for quite a while.

Can version 11.0~git20120403.ec33f1f+repack1-5 be synced instead? This change simply disables building on all architectures except amd64 and i386. In Debian, xbmc fails to build on powerpc anyway.

Hold off on doing another sync. We're trying to work through the issues with ARM, upstream.
