Bug Description

Binary package hint: gimp

Since the new version of gimp, 2.6 I believe, I have noticed that the tool set windows have changed. This change no longer makes them snap to the edge of my desktop or other windows. I noticed this when the minimize and maximize buttons vanished.

Your window manager then interprets the "utility" window hint that way. This is not unreasonable as these windows are not any longer supposed to be treated as. If you dislike this behavior, you can change this in the Window Management section in the GIMP preferences. I would suggest that this report is closed as NOTABUG.

That was meant to read "... these windows are not any longer supposed to be treated as normal top-level windows.".
