Bug Description

Hi

I'm having some bugs with the system:/ kioslave. The last one i've found is that I can't create a .desktop file in my home folder. I was trying to create an autostart icon for adept-notifier and when filling the aplication tab in it's properties I had an error (screenshot attached below). This bug happens both on my amd64 & my 386 machine.

I'm also experiencing other bugs like this one:
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/30271
which seem to be related. I'm suspecting the system:/ kioslave is not working correctly, maybe with hal? I don't know... Strangely this other bug only happens on my 386 machine.

Please ask for anything I can provide to fix these.

Shot of the bug. You can see the error message konqueror shows while trying to edit the .desktop file. Please notice I'm editing the .desktop file from system:/ kioslave. If I enter the direct path to my Autostart folder everything works fine.

Hi

This strange behaviour is still happening.

With the recent fix for the system:/home kio I can't use the right click action in konqueror to compress a file

for example open up konqueror via system:/home/any_folder and try to compress a file using ark via the right click action. It shows a progress window that never ends

More problems with system:/
I can't create a link to a app in a folder in konqueror using a relative path with system:/ kio
it gives an error message, it says: I don't have privileges to write to /home/documentos/Enlace a aplicacion.desktop.

To reproduce open a folder in konqueror via system:/ and try to add a link to an application.

Is this still a problem in any of the newer releases of Kubuntu, kmon? Please try feisty if possible.
