Bug Description
Binary package hint: vim-latexsuite
(ubuntu intrepid)
I have vim.gnome and vim-latexsuite installed. latex-suite is installed with vim-addons to my local .vim directory
If i open a tex file with gvim, as soon as i interact with latex-suite (for instance: SSS -> \section{<+>} or mathcal<F7> -> \mathcal{<+>}) gvim loses the input of the keyboard. I can still use the mouse, use the menus to quit/save (but can't confirm via the keyboard). It's like gvim waits for latex-suite to finish, but it should already have finished (it did the translation i asked).
What's weird is that vim (not gvim) works perfectly fine. Using vim.gtk rather than vim.gnome doesn't change anything.
I also have a 64 bit debian testing and a 32 bit debian unstable, and vim/gvim works perfectly fine with latex-suite.
I had a 32 bits debian testing on a old laptop, and i had exactly the same problem (gvim hanging, vim working fine with latex-suite). I remplaced this laptop by a new one and installed ubuntu so i can't test it anymore.
I have the same config files on all my computers, so this is not an option causing the bug (i think).
I really have no clue how to investigate further, but i can provide more informations if needed.
If i install vim latex-suite directly (by untaring latexSuite20060 325.tar. gz on the .vim folder), rather than using vim-addons, i do not get this bug. 20060325 is the last stable version, i don't know if vim-addons use the svn version of latex-suite, but maybe there is a bug there.
