Bug Description

If I try to register a new connection with Telstra, the APN is set to telstra.wap.

According to http://www.unlocks.co.uk/gprs_settings.php#australia, it should be telstra.internet.

I've been unable to get NM working at all for my mobile, but that's what I used to use when I did it manually via /etc/ppp scripts.

Possibly it's telstra.internet for their Next G (UMTS/HSDPA) service and telstra.wap for their GSM service.

Hi - This is true for some, but not all Telstra wireless users. If you have an account with an email address of <email address hidden> you need to use telstra.bigpond as the APN and you must enter your username and password in the connection config to connect. I have found this out from literally months of trying unsuccessfully to connect in 8.10 and now with 9.04 I can finally use my Telstra issue Next G card, an Sierra AirCard 880U. The connection information in the auto setup in Jaunty needs an extra Telstra type for bigpond.com accounts (they also have telstra.net I think)
