Bug Description

when doing file|save as, and selecting an existing file, the overwrite dialog
shows nothing or rubbish as filename. this also crashed gedit once for me.

this seems to happen only in the ubuntu package version (8.10 .deb-packaged
release (2.24.2-0ubuntu1)), the gnome people said that they cannot reproduce it for 2.24.2.
attached a screenshot (in hungarian, but i guess language does not matter)

Could you also specify the exact name of the file that already exists, just in case there are some special characters messing it up?

Thanks

Thanks. I can trigger it by putting an exclamation mark in the folder name.
